Personal Finance: Interest rates could sap profits
You can lose money in the safest of bonds, even U.S. Treasury bonds and general-obligation municipal bonds. I'm not talking about the potential for the world's debt problems leading to governments' collapsing and failing to pay interest. Rather, I'm referring to the way people usually lose money in safe bonds, even when the government keeps paying interest as promised.
